Jack grew up and trained as a chef in Cornwall. After working in Cornwall, Essex, London & France he fell in love with West Cork especially the village of Rosscarbery and the beautiful Pilgrims Rest building which was built c1870.

Jacks family history with food started over 5 generations ago with ownership of wet & cured fish shops and a delivery service by horse and cart throughout the Yorkshire Dales. The business was already well established by 1890, centred in Richmond, North Yorkshire. Pictures of the Bell family can be seen around the restaurant, keeping a watchful eye.

Our dynamic team bring to Ross a coffee house during the day serving amazing brunch dishes alongside a modern dining experience in the evening showcasing our passion about using locally-sourced ingredients that have travelled only a few miles. These include locally reared, rare breeds, pork, eggs, cheeses, honey, fish, fruit & vegetables.
